Drafting a table for my comics

One of the few things I'm working on are comics. So I'm cutting open my table and inserting a lamp for my tracing lines. I'll show the full table soon.

Fastball Shenanigans

You know what, I'm going to take a bit of a break and focus on some zines and other projects now.
I have been working on this for about a month and I finally developed the look of the characters but now, I want to finish with writing the back stories. I'm actually excited to work on this, but much later. I think I developed tennis elbow, oh god haha!

My work space as of this week. Next week practice panels.

Zines I'm preparing for next year.

I've started to write small stories, just to prepare myself for writing a comic book or novel. So I've decided to prepare during summer vacation. Small stories bi monthly to get myself into meeting deadlines. I'm working on 3 stories that will have accompanying artwork.

One of the stories is a horror story zine.

The story revolves around a new teacher set in a haunted boarding school.  She see these specters daily, often stopping the class and running out. So she begins to solve the schools haunting only to find out that she can't do it, the ritual needs a three specific players. All of these characters are connected in some way.

The second story is about a small town that is preparing for a huge snow storm. It focuses on the passing of time and how much trust can an unknown person give. The protagonist fully prepares while deciding whether or not to be selfish by barring up his house or becoming a safe haven to weary passersby.

The third story is a continuing of my series "Embarrassing Moments in Montreal". My current location is Edmonton, while working this summer most of the things that have happened to me are because of my parents. This series is on going, honestly any mention of the phrase "bad luck" usually does happen to me. I just can't escape it.

Feel free to comment and I'm an avid user of tumblr so if you want to see what I'm focusing on visit me over there!

Fastpitch Graphic Novel

One of my passions is sports, I'm quite fond of fastpitch and martial arts. Recently I've been studying multiple anatomy books and focusing on the athletes movements. Looking at the physical and emotional sides of an athlete, I'm constantly amazed by the effects of team dynamics of sport teams. The comradery of teams versus individuals.

Which led me to start brain storming and focus on creating a story that focuses on a fastpitch team, that starts off as misfits, only to become a make shift "family".

I have a couple of sketches for the main characters but I'm not quite settled on the characters. Under the break.

Embarrassing Moments in Montreal - Comic Complete

Finished and bound comic of my most "Embarrassing Moments in Montreal". I didn't think I would actually write about these moments but here they are. A majority of the events did take place during my first year at Concordia University. Usually being so introverted, I walked around a lot, which lead me on adventures where I would run into unusual places and people. I honestly accredit these embarrassing moments in helping me grow getting to know people and helping me become less introverted.

The full comic is for viewing under the cut.

Return from Everything

Recently I've had a lot of things good and bad happen. Some of them I could solve but many of them left me with unease. Since then my drive to create art projects had become hindered. However meeting with many of my friends and family, I've gotten my focus back and now I'm planning to change my art style.

During my time away; I've been researching gender, sexuality, and religion. Most of my art work was based on figurative pieces from my childhood. But now, I'm sure, I'm going in the right direction.  These studies gave me a chance to explore my research and my relationship with them.

Thanks and I'll be posting art work in a couple of weeks. Keep following!

Side Projects - T-shirts for our Karate Club

This year I was the president of the Concordia Karate club and I had the pleasure of coming up with an idea for the club to do this year. I was interested in creating a logo for the club and maybe a few things to leave behind when I'm gone from my time at Concordia. A bit bitter sweet if I think about it.

I worked on creating t-shirts for our club's kohai. I'm really happy how they turned out. I've been thinking to create a t-shirt company for myself but I'll need a lot of screens and ink. Maybe down the line.
